Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 9, 2026
1. Introduction
Welcome to FrameAnim ("we," "our," or "us"). We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our website and web application (collectively, the "Service") located at https://frameanim.vercel.app.
By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree with the terms of this policy, please do not access the Service.
2. Information We Collect
a. Information You Provide
We may collect information that you voluntarily provide when using the Service, including:
- Project data and animation files you create within the application
- Email address if you contact us through our contact form
- Any other information you choose to provide
b. Automatically Collected Information
When you access the Service, we may automatically collect certain information, including:
- Usage data (pages visited, features used, time spent)
- Device information (browser type, operating system, device type)
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, operate, and maintain the Service
- Improve and personalize your experience
- Analyze usage trends to improve the Service
- Display advertising that keeps the Service free to use, as described in section 6
- Respond to your inquiries and provide customer support
- Detect and prevent fraud or abuse
4. Data Storage
All project data and animations are stored locally in your browser using localStorage and IndexedDB. We do not upload or store your creative work on our servers. Your projects remain on your device unless you choose to export them.
5. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
We and our partners use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies on the Service. They fall into three groups:
- Essential storage — localStorage and IndexedDB entries that hold your projects, frames, and interface preferences such as your light or dark theme. These never leave your device and the editor cannot work without them.
- Analytics — we use analytics services (such as Vercel Analytics) to understand how visitors move through the Service. These may record information such as your IP address, browser type, referring page, and the pages you visit.
- Advertising — cookies set by third-party advertising partners to select and measure the ads shown on the Service. These are described in section 6 below.
You can instruct your browser to refuse all cookies or to warn you when one is being set. Blocking advertising and analytics cookies does not stop you using the editor, but clearing essential storage will delete the projects saved in your browser.
6. Advertising
The Service is free to use and is funded in part by advertising. We display ads supplied by third-party advertising networks, including Google, through Google AdSense.
a. How Advertising Cookies Are Used
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to the Service and/or other sites on the Internet.
- Advertising partners may also use device identifiers, your approximate location derived from your IP address, and similar technologies to select ads, limit how often you see the same ad, and measure whether an ad was effective.
b. What We Do Not Share
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not give advertisers access to your creative work. Your drawings, frames, layers, and exported files stay in your own browser, as described in section 4 — they are never transmitted to us or to any advertising partner.
c. How to Opt Out of Personalized Advertising
- You can opt out of personalized advertising by Google by visiting Google My Ad Center.
- You can opt out of personalized advertising by many other vendors at aboutads.info or networkadvertising.org.
- More detail on how Google uses data when you use a partner's site is available at How Google uses information from sites that use our services.
- You can also block or delete advertising cookies in your browser settings at any time. If you opt out, you will still see ads, but they will be less relevant to you.
d. Visitors in the EEA, UK, and Switzerland
Where required by law, we ask for your consent before advertising and analytics cookies are set, using a consent notice provided through Google's certified consent management framework. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time through that notice. Where consent is not given, ads are shown without personalization.
Advertising partners act as independent controllers of the data they collect. We do not control their cookies and cannot access the information they hold, so questions about that data should be directed to the partner concerned using the policies linked in section 7.
7. Third-Party Services
We use the third-party services listed below. Each has its own privacy policy explaining what it collects and how it uses that information:
- Vercel — hosting and site analytics
- Google AdSense — advertising, including Google's advertising and cookie policy
- Google Privacy Policy — covers Google Analytics and Google's advertising products
8. Data Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational security measures to protect your personal information. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Children's Privacy
The Service is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, and we do not direct advertising to children. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete such information.
10. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
11. Contact Us
